Himalayan Trip – Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
"Oh! The Places you'll go!" I had blister free feet in my shoes, although there was typically only one direction to choose. We were on our way up, and we saw great sights, we joined the high dwellers who live at great heights. We lagged a little behind, and never took the lead, but we bonded together over the lack of speed. Sadly, bang ups and hang ups did happen to us, we could have gotten hung up at our 12000 ft perch, but once we came down with bump, and got out of our slump and instead were able to go to the waiting place, and help 160 people. We made our own Boom Band, and rode high, ready for anything under the sky, ready because we already walked that trail once. Together but alone we found ourselves at times, and there were definitely things that scared us out of our minds. Like big scary spiders, and loud nocturnal dogs, but though laughter and a little rice wine we good to hike through the fog. Onward we went down the mountainsides, and our sneakers did reek, mostly from mule excrement, good think they didn't leak. On and on we hiked, and we definitely hiked far, (150 miles) we faced up to our problems whatever they were, and perhaps still are. We made sure where we stepped we were stepping with tact, after all the himalayan rocks make you feel like you're in a balancing act. We may not have moved mountains, but at the end of they day, this team gave it their all, and despite the adversities we had an amazing Journey.
