St. Vincent and the Grenadines Volcano Relief

On April 9, 2021, La Soufriere volcano on the Caribbean Island of St Vincent and The Grenadines began a series of catastrophic eruptions, spewing tons of ash, rocks and boulders for miles destroying homes and crops and contaminating the island’s water supply.

More than 20,000 residents were forced from their homes by the catastrophic eruption. There has been extensive damage and disruption to infrastructures, facilities, and services. The entire population has been affected.

With very limited temporary accommodations available to host the evacuees, the situation is dire. Many just had moments to grab a few things before leaving their homes and possessions behind. Food, water, clothing, and toiletries are in urgent need.

On behalf of the Organization for the Advancement of the Caribbean (OAC), we are helping to bring relief to the people of St Vincent.
