***Note: Full COVID-19 Vaccination is Required for Participation***

On Saturday, August 14, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti 60 miles south of Port au Prince, dealing a devastating blow to an already vulnerable population. As reports of injuries and casualties continue to mount, aftershocks, landslides, and now the threat of tropical storms are adding to the challenges. International Medical Relief is mobilizing on the ground. We are assembling teams of medical volunteers to deliver assistance to communities that were heavily impacted by the disaster.

Current situation:

  • The death toll has soared to over 2,200.
  • Current towns impacted include the surrounding areas of Les Cayes and Petit Trou de Nippes,
located 80 miles west of Port-au-Prince.
  • Large aftershocks have occurred.
  • Tropical Storm Grace impacted the region causing flash flooding and mudslides across the country.
  • Local medical officials report that hospitals in impacted areas are overwhelmed by sudden needs and may be short staffed due to the earthquake. There is also concern that landslides could be triggered in the area.
  • The IMR DART Team is on the ground in Haiti.
  • IMR is collecting much needed supplies. Help fund critical medical care, medicines, medical supplies, hygiene kits, water purification kits, and personal protective equipment for distribution. Donate now!
  • IMR is establishing locations for First Responders to provide medical care in collaboration with our local partners.

The trip is based out of Les Cayes, Haiti. Please schedule your flights in and out of Antoine-Simon Airport (code CYA) in Les Cayes.
