The Need

Note: Actual Mission Dates are Nov. 30-Dec. 2 and Minimum Donation Amount is $100

The Colorado General Assembly will be holding a special session Nov. 30-Dec. 2 to address COVID-19 pandemic relief efforts in Colorado, which includes the state’s public health response. IMR has been asked to provide health screenings for Capitol visitors and rapid response COVID testing for legislators and legislative staff during the session, and we need volunteers to assist.

Volunteer opportunities will take place at the State Capitol, and you will participate in many roles to assist with testing and tracing. Each day you will be provided with appropriate PPE and directed to your volunteer role for that day. Protective measures will be implemented to reduce risk of infection and keep volunteers safe.

Anyone can make a difference – we need both medical and non-medical volunteers. Once your application has been reviewed, a member of our team will contact you to discuss this opportunity in detail. Click here to start your application by creating an account if you have not done so. If you have, log in to continue the application process. If you need more information or have difficulty with the application process, please call us at (970) 635-0110 or email office@imrus.org.

Lodging/Transportation

While the main focus of your donation will be applied towards disaster efforts, your volunteer participation will include background check, credential, t-shirt, and supplies needed to carry out these efforts. If you will be joining the team from out of town, lodging is available at $65 per night for two nights, double occupancy. Please inquire at office@imrus.org for more information.
